Shoyu Chicken

1 cup soy sauce
3/4 cup water
3/4 cup sugar (brown or white)
2 cloves garlic, mashed
grated gingerroot to taste
2 1/2 lbs. chicken thighs
Place everything in crock pot and cook on low 4-5 hours.  Serve with rice.
